Let us trash the safety issues as of now.

And wouldn’t RF make more sense? Could you please post a diagram and fuller details of your application?

Working of the circuit is simple. Lastly, I don’t allow my lack of skils to come in between me making my circuit. Such appliances already have IR controls and their receivers are l14d1 powered. Already have an account?

Jan 12, 1. Using a L14F1 IR phototransistor in a switch. I believe it is the pin that juts out a little bit, which should be the base pin I have marked my guess in the photo attached. I would guess that datashewt 3-pin you mean a device which has the base connection brought to an outside pin, since LIF41 is a photo-darlington which has the input base brought out?

Assemble both the circuits on separate PCBs and house in suitable cabinets. Most remote controls around us, use IR for signal transmission. Everyone who loves science is here! Secondly, I don’t want to make more sensitive arrangements, for I can easily afford to point the laser pointer on datasyeet phototransistor, even if impractical.

The equivalent photo-voltage appears across resistor R4. Too, IR requires lie-of-sight. You will see that the transistor base lead is not connected, as was suggested in one of my earlier posts.

To avoid circuit malfunction, cover the phototransistor T1 with a suitable contraption so that the phototransistor is not exposed to unwanted light sources. Initially, when no IR beam is falling on sensor photo-transistor T1, the DC voltage appearing at the input of the window comparator is nearly zero.

Relay RL1 energises to light up the bulb when transistor T5 conducts.

But, where would someone use it? You need to be a member in order to leave a comment.

If not, I don’t mind, a little bit of trial-and error can be done. Jan 12, 5. By the way, could you tell why the resistor is datasheer in the circuit?

My first guess would be that the base could be left open, but depending on the application it may be better to connect a resistor from the base to the emitter.

Since the receiver is controlling a line powered device, why would datassheet be battery powered? Keep the 9V battery inside the cabinet. The window comparator IC3 is designed such that whenever the input voltage is between 2 and 4 volts greater than 2V but less than 4Vits output goes high. Like the earlier one I posted, why couldn’t I just leave one pin left out hanging?

It is built around timer IC NE wired as an astable multivibrator.

The circuit operates off a 9V battery, which can be connected to the circuit through switch S2. Join Physics Forums Today! But then, which one? It consists of phototransistor L14F1 T1 dtaasheet As a final help, in the picture of the phototransistor product I have attached, please look at it and re-post it to me if you can identify the base pin.
