I see this as a shame of a missed opportunity. Dick is not a science fiction writer, he’s a philosopher. I’ve been looking forward to the graphic novel version, but now that I’ve read this first volume, I’m not quite as enthusiastic about it as I’d expected. How we should treat it and how we would govern our world if super advanced androids came to exist. Christopher Palmer  emphasizes Dick’s speech to bring to attention the increasingly dangerous risk of humans becoming “mechanical”.
